Original art that uses an impasto technique (very thickly applied paint) reproduce especially well as an acrylic print. You really get that 3D effect. This has to do with the light being refracted as it passes thru the acrylic layer. Kind of like a drop of water on newspaper print. This has always been a fine art printing challenge in the past. Deeply textured art would always reproduce as flat and dull, regardless of what it was printed on. Now we have a solution.
